EXTRA BAG TAGS
A maximum of two additional containers can be put out on your scheduled collection day. Tags for extra containers of garbage may be purchased for $3 each.
Effective immediately (for the duration of the COVID-19 outbreak), in effort to safeguard staff and residents under the current COVID-19 self-isolation protocols, the RDN is providing an alternate method of payment for the extra bag tags for RDN residents (does not apply to City of Nanaimo residents).
Residents can submit a request below for extra capacity at a cost of $3 per bag, which will be billed on your annual utility bill.
For bag tag(s) purchased online, there is no need to print label(s) to affix to your bag(s). Simply sign up below and place your extra bag(s) at the curb on your collection day. Your address and number of bag tag(s) purchased will be added to the driver's route list for your selected collection day.
If you do not end up using the extra bag tag(s), don't worry! Your address will remain on the driver's route list until it is redeemed.
