Share We live right beside Boltbee park and as much as we support the idea of a new playground, I have teenagers and use to run a day care. A tall LARGE play ground is not ideal for this smaller space. I suggest one of the smaller structures. Swings and climbing structures are great for child development. Something too big is an eye sore and there are not many kids using this playground. Could cost us more than what we need. A smaller well designed structure I think is ideal. Also what about having a structure that supports older kids and adults as well. Like outdoor exercise equipment, or pickle ball court or tennis court? I really do not want to see an over prices large play structure for a park that doe snot have many kids. Please consider older kids and adults too. on Facebook Share We live right beside Boltbee park and as much as we support the idea of a new playground, I have teenagers and use to run a day care. Bonthuis asked 4 months agoThank you for your comments. Replacing the existing playground was identified as a priority in the community engagement work done in 2021. The new paved path and the refurbished sport offer outdoor activities for all ages.

Share Will the new playground be sited on the existing location? What will the dimensions on plan view be? Has consideration been made for privacy sight lines into adjacent properties? Currently the most used feature is the swings. Most of the new designs do not have enough swings. on Facebook Share Will the new playground be sited on the existing location? TDoyle asked 4 months agoThank you for your questions. Yes, the new playground will be placed in the same location as the existing play area. The new playground area dimensions are 14 x 17 meters. The site lines will be different depending on the playground design. New shade trees were planted east of the existing playground to help provide privacy for the neighbouring residents.

Chewy asked 4 months agoThe towers shown in the concept drawings range from 8 to 12 feet in height. This is the height of the platform which is the highest point at which kids can stand. All of the proposed designs meet current playground safety standards.
