We heard from RDN residents that the majority of you would like a larger organics cart to accommodate topping up your carts with yard waste. We’ve developed an optional organics cart upsize program, which allows residents to choose the cart size that fits their individual needs.

From October 28 to November 30, 2024, RDN residents can upgrade their organics cart to a 240L or add an additional 240L cart to their current service.

To pre-order your cart, complete the survey below by November 30, 2024.

**For all orders received by November 30, 2024, the fee to exchange or add a larger organics cart will be discounted to $50 - a savings of $25.

    Thank you to our curbside customers that have already pre-registered for their upsized organics cart. For those that pre-ordered before November 8, your household had a chance to win one of five of expanded organics cart upsize promotion content - two years of free RDN curbside collection services. Our lucky winners have now been notified by phone call and email, the winners are:

    Again, thank you for participating and supporting our initiative to promote organics, recycling and waste reduction. By choosing to upsize your organics cart, you are helping to divert valuable resources from the landfill and contribute to a greener, more sustainable community. There is still time to encourage or remind your neighbours that they can pre-order to upsize their organics cart by November 30 and save $25 on the exchange fee.
