The RDN has received a zoning amendment for the properties legally described as Part of Lot 1, District Lots 1 and 86, Newcastle District, Plan 48840, Except Part In Plans VIP70719, VIP79699, EPP34061, and EPP41048. The subject property is currently zoned Rural 1 Subdivision District D (RU1D) (see Document Library), which allows a range of rural uses including agriculture and two dwelling units per parcel with a minimum parcel size of 2.0 hectares.
The proposal is to amend the RU1 zone to a Comprehensive Development Zone that would permit up to 48 dwelling units including a range of dwelling unit types.
NOTE: This application is currently under review and is not considered complete. The RDN is in receipt of a zoning amendment for Deep Bay South West. The RDN is in the process of reviewing the application and will provide additional information once it becomes available.
