Darciesander asked almost 2 years agoThank you for getting involved and providing your comments.
The RDN Board's intention was to inform residents of the changes being considered through open houses and the Get Involved RDN Project page and collect comments/feedback through the survey. The open houses were to provide information for residents which could be used in completing the survey.

LJDenning asked almost 2 years agoThank you for your question. Similar changes were considered by the RDN Board as far back as 2009. The RDN Board wishes to ensure a balance of equitable funding between those that directly use the pool and those that do not directly use the pool but gain the benefits of having a pool within their community or neighbouring community.
If you would like to find out more about the various funding models that have been considered by the RDN Board you may find it helpful to review the Important Links section of the project page. Here you will find a number of staff reports, minutes and agendas of relevant RDN Board and District 69 Swimming Pool Service Select Committee meetings where various funding models were discussed. Through these meetings it was determined that the 1/3 usage, 1/3 assessment and 1/3 population be brought to residents for comment.
